Field of Flowers

I had hit the road yesterday to do a little Junking.  Family friends place was hit by a tornado last week and tore apart their old family smoke house and tool shed.  Lots of old wood for the taking.  Was sad seeing their family ranch all in shambles.  That tornado danced around and totally missed the house!!!!!

On the way home, I had to stop and take this picture of this field of flowers.  Just beautiful!!

My Yard

I love my yard.  It is totally getting redone.  Sure wish that guy at Home Depot would crash my yard!!!!  Anyway...this is what I have so far in my front yard.

Refugio County Livestock Show

Congratulations are in order for Courtney Myers.  She purchased a lamb from us-- Haws Club Lambs.  She won Reserve Grand Champion Overall with "Moe".

Painted Screen

Had a request to do a fun screen.  Her neighbors bought a cabin on the Frio River next to them and wanted a welcome gift.

Custom Order Rabbit Stool

Painted another stool today.  This one was a custom order for a little girl who is going to show her rabbits in a county fair.  Needs the stool to make her taller in the show ring.  Rabbits will be on a table taller than she is.  hahaha

Teacher Shingle

Was called the other day to do a "teacher"shingle".  You know, a name plate for a teacher to go outside her door.  Problem was trying to find the right shingle.  Looked deep in the barn and all my collections and found this skinny cabinet door panel.  Just perfect!!! 

She teaches in elementary and wanted apples....just sanded down board, drew up and painted with acrylic.  Just need to spray with sealer, but having rainy weather today.

Painted Little Girl Chair

Finished painting the chair today!!!!!  I could really paint it fast, but it takes me too long to think about how I'm going to paint each spindle or leg.  So much fun to watch the creation come to life!

2. High Chair
3. Stool with rabbits
4. Wine screen
5. Teacher shingle for classroom door

Plus a few extra projects I want to paint.

Just a kid's chair that I will paint pretty.

Old rocking chair.  Might not be sturdy enough for using as chair.  Might turn it into a planter.

Old bench.  I do have the top that I will add some beautiful coordinating fabric to.  Can't wait on this one!

Decorating Ideas

Scanning through a magazine today.  Snapped a few pictures of some wonderful decorating ideas I want to put in my house.  I'm sure you will agree.

Another amazing use for old windows.  Picture frames!  I have several extra 6 pane windows that I believe I will do this with.

Wall Art.  Beautiful.  I would grap this up in a minute!!

Starting Veggies

got some of each veggie started in the greenhouse.  Waiting for the right time to set them out.  Noticed some other gardens already set out.  Just wondering about a last freeze.  All trees getting leaves.  Fruit trees blooming.  Confused because mesquite trees not getting their leaves.  they alwasy say they know when it is time.
